This policy covers HustleBeat, the reselling analytics and bookkeeping service at 4thefam.co/hustlebeat. It explains what we collect, why, who else sees it, and how to get it back or get rid of it. Our Terms of Service cover the rest of the relationship.
HustleBeat is bookkeeping and analytics software for resellers. We hold the business records you put in it so we can compute your numbers and show them back to you. We don't sell your data, we don't run advertising trackers, and we never see your card number. You can export everything at any time and ask us to delete it.
Only what the product needs to work:
We want this to be specific rather than reassuring. HustleBeat loads no advertising pixels, no tag manager, no session recorder, and no third-party analytics product — there is no Google Analytics, no Meta pixel, no heatmap tool on this site or in the app. We do not build a profile of you across other websites, we do not buy data about you, and we do not sell or rent your data to anyone, for any price.
If we ever want to use your data for something outside this list, we'll ask you first.
If you're in the UK, EU, or somewhere with similar law, we process your data on these grounds: to perform our contract with you (running the service and billing you), our legitimate interests (keeping the service secure, fixing defects, and understanding aggregate product usage), your consent (where you choose to connect a marketplace or upload a receipt for scanning), and legal obligation (tax and accounting records we're required to keep).
Some of what you store here belongs to other people — the marketplace usernames and ship-to states of the people who bought from you. For that information you are the business deciding what happens to it, and we are the processor acting on your instructions. We use it only to build your customer analytics; we never contact your buyers, never market to them, and never use their records for any other customer's numbers. If a buyer asks you to remove their record, delete it in the app or email us and we'll do it. eBay also notifies us directly when one of its users requests deletion, and we honour those notices automatically.
We use a small number of vendors to run the service. Each gets only what it needs, each is bound by a data processing agreement, and none of them get your data for their own marketing:
Beyond that, we'll share data only if the law compels us, and if a company ever acquires HustleBeat we'll tell you before your data moves.
The Tax Center can read a receipt photo for you and pre-fill the expense. When that feature is switched on, the image is sent to Anthropic's API to be read, and only the image is sent — no account details, no order history, no buyer records. Anthropic does not use API inputs to train its models, and the extracted text comes straight back to your books. If the feature is off, or if you'd rather not send an image anywhere, you can type any expense in by hand and never use the scanner. Your receipt photos stay in your private storage either way.
HustleBeat sets cookies only to keep you signed in and to keep your session secure — that's what our sign-in cookies are for, and the app can't work without them. We also use your browser's local storage for small interface preferences. There are no advertising cookies and no cross-site tracking cookies, so there is nothing here to opt out of.
Your data is encrypted in transit and at rest with our cloud providers. Every table is protected by row-level security, so a query made in your session can only ever return your own rows, and receipt images sit in a private bucket scoped to your account's folder. Access to production systems is limited to the people who operate HustleBeat and protected by multi-factor authentication. No system is perfectly secure, and we won't pretend otherwise — if a breach affects your data, we'll notify you and any required regulator without undue delay, and within 72 hours where the law requires it.

There is no self-serve delete button yet — deletion is a request we action by hand, which is why it takes up to 30 days rather than a click. Email support@4thefam.co and we'll start it. If you're in the UK or EU and you think we've handled your data badly, you can also complain to your national data protection authority.
We do not sell your personal information and we do not share it for cross-context behavioural advertising, as those terms are defined by California law — not for money, and not for anything else of value. We have not done so in the last 12 months. You have the right to know, delete, correct, and to be free from discrimination for exercising any of them, and we don't offer any financial incentive tied to your data. Use the same address to make a request.
Our providers operate in the United States, so if you're outside the US your data will be transferred there. Where that transfer needs a legal mechanism, it's covered by the standard contractual clauses in our agreements with those providers.
HustleBeat is a business tool and isn't intended for anyone under 16. We don't knowingly collect data from children, and if we learn we have, we'll delete it.
If we change how we handle your data in a way that matters, we'll email you before it takes effect and update the date at the top of this page. Smaller edits — clearer wording, a renamed vendor — go up here without an email.
