Built Inside a Real Card Business
HustleVault wasn't designed in a boardroom. It came out of a card business with more inventory than shelf space — sheets of cards on a flatbed, boxes that all look the same from the outside, and receipts that never matched what was actually in the vault. We built the tool we needed to run our own operation, we use it every day, and we're giving it away because a hobby full of people fighting the same spreadsheet deserves better than another subscription.
Questions, Answered
Is It Actually Free?
Yes. HustleVault installs and runs on your own PC at no cost, with no account and no card. There is no trial timer, and nothing stops working after a while.
What’s the Catch?
There isn't one. It was built to run a real card business, and giving it away is how it finds the people it's for.
Where Does My Data Go?
Nowhere. HustleVault keeps everything in a database file on your own machine and works with the internet switched off. There is no server holding your inventory and no account to lock you out of it.
What Scanner Do I Need?
Any flatbed your PC already sees, plus the free NAPS2 helper app from naps2.com — that's what HustleVault drives the scanner through, and it'll point you at it on first run. It's built and tested against an Epson V500, and it scans the full glass rather than a letter-sized crop, so a whole sheet of cards fits with nothing clipped off the bottom.
What if I Don’t Have a Scanner at All?
You can still use everything. Drag photos straight onto the intake screen, or point HustleVault at a folder and it picks up whatever lands there — phone shots included. The scanner just makes a sheet of eight faster than shooting them one at a time.
Do I Need a Label Printer?
No — labels print on ordinary sheet stock too. If you do have a thermal printer, HustleVault sends jobs straight to it with no print dialog, at whatever label size you set.
Is It Windows Only?
Yes, for now. Scanning and printing both go through Windows, so that's what the installer targets.
Can I Get My Data Back Out?
Any time. Export the whole inventory to CSV, and the database file itself is yours. HustleVault also keeps rotating local backups and can restore from one.
What Happens When I Have 10,000 Cards?
It keeps up. Everything runs locally against an indexed database, so searching and filtering stay instant as the collection grows.
